Do Hatfields Jaecoo hand mine in last Friday for DAB issue, they updated SW and said that's all they can do, the reception is a fraction better but still terrible. Instead of cutting out it just gets squeaky and volume drops in and out. They told me that's all the SW updates completed for up to the end of 2025. The 2026 updates haven't been released yet. I believe there is a new EU directive that says car manufacturers can only release software updates in batches, every 6 months. This is very frustrating for a customer that may have to live with a fault for 5 months when there is a fix available for it.

Everyone with Jaecoo has this problem

I have experienced reception issues with my DAB on my Jaecoo PHEV. The dealership has changed the antenna twice and are refusing to do anything further and have made many BS excuses. I have asked for a refund of my vehicle or an alternative. (Invicta Motors Ashford)*

How are the upgrades rolled out? Is it something that needs to go to the dealership, or is it something that could be done at home, via a link sent to the car or email?

Had mine sorted by the dealer two weeks ago. I was only getting 52 stations and most kept dropping out. Dealer did a software update and moved a modified antena from behind the rear view mirror to behind the headlining above the right hand seat. Now I get well over 100 stations and all crystal clear.

My car has been back three times now and is still no better. Reading through various forums it has been suggested that fitting an aftermarket aerial amplifier fixes this issue, has anyone tried this fix? If this issue remains it may seriously affect the re-sale value of the car.

Just bought a new jaecoo5 no radio stations only magic very pleased with vehicle been in touch with local jaecoo dealer in Bristol waiting for reply said they would get it booked in

The big problem for me is that I was sold something that does not work and they knew it when they sold it! I don't remember this being pointed out or Highlighted. It would be interesting to know if there is any redress it's distracting and therefore dangerous so I turn it off. It certainly took the shine off what should be one the great joys of life,

Mark

Does anyone know where the Antenna is in the car?

I bought my Jaeco 7 in March DAB Radio has never worked dealer aware and awaiting jaecoo software solution, they offered antenna swap however said it would resolve wasting mine and their time . Jaecoo were aware of issue prior launch to UK and yet new buyer not informed , I haven't had any in car entertainment since buying only road noise . I have also raised that the voice command randomly shouts out the entering england as I drive down my road in england. I have sent email to the customer services responsible for the whole of the UK to get company status and ETA on resolution plus how they intend to compensate me , I'll keep you posted.
