Yes. Had a removable towbar fitted by an aftermarket company as Jaecoo couldn't give me a lead time for the towbar but still wanted me to pay 100% upfront. I went for the dedicated wiring loom which was made for the car and the bloke that fitted it said it was really easy with everything fitting perfectly. He did say I was the first Jaecoo 7 towbar fitting for them which was slightly worrying. I'm new to caravanning and have never towed with another car so don't have anything to compare it with. My experiences so far.There are several warnings that come up on the screen when I connect my Bailey Phoenix to the car. These are blind spot warning failure, lane departure system failure and lane keeping assist failure. The car also permanently shows trailer connecting (not connected) as if it's not fully connected somehow. The test box the towbar company used to check the installation didn't give any of these warnings and some googling has told me this is a common issue with newer cars being more sensitive to the internal wiring of the caravan. There's apparently a wiring fix in my caravan that I haven't had time to try yet. All the lights work perfectly on the caravan and the car drives perfectly so it's just the warnings that bother me.I always select sport mode when towing and I've been up a couple of good hills with no issues with available power.On motorways and dual carriageways I forget I've got a caravan attached as it's really smooth and I have to watch my speed as it's easy to creep way past 60 without noticing.On 50mph roads it's a different beast. The car doesn't seem to know what gear to select and it constantly revs the engine really hard then occasionally changes up which quietens it down until you accelerate even slightly which prompts it to change down and rev the engine really hard again. Makes for not a very relaxing experience. Maybe this is the same in other automatic cars though?Hope this helps.

Interesting that you get the same warning. I'm having my car serviced on Friday so will ask them about it. I'm also going to see if there are any software updates available.

We've just been to Devon in the caravan which was about 230 miles for us. I'd filled the car up before leaving and we got there with about 150 miles left in the tank. We managed to drive around all week in smart energy mode and only filled up the day before driving home. Had the same 150 miles left when we got home. I always select sport mode when towing as it makes the car much more responsive so not sure if I'd get better consumption if I used eco mode.

Hi all, just returned home after towing our 1000kg caravan for the first time. There was no opportunity to recharge the battery at the site so drove home with 8miles battery range showing. Got home with 2miles range showing. Was in smart mode the whole time and the car seemed to struggle keeping the battery topped up. I have been advised by the dealer to use forced mode. Can any of you confirm this? Many thanks, Dave

That's what I do and also select sport mode as it seems much more responsive. It never seems to drop below about 35 miles range when I do this.
