A charger expert told me about an issue with electric vehicles from several brands, such as Porsche. Normally, the high-voltage battery periodically checks the 12V battery and charges it if it's low. However, this function gets disabled when you plug the car into the charger. When you connect the charger, the 12V battery is used to activate the charging systems. If you keep it plugged in without charging for many hours, the 12V battery could run out of power. That's why, when charging is scheduled for several hours later, it is best to program the charge in the car, not on the charger
