Simple mode on dash

Hi, got in the car at lunchtime just like I always have. The infotainment screen lit up but the dash just displayed “simple mode active” on an all black background. It displayed a large 0 (which I assume was the Speedo but I didn’t drive to confirm) despite pressing the brake, then selecting drive the screen stayed black. I hadn’t pushed anything to enable whatever this was. I was forced to do a system reboot (the one where you press the word version 10 times and then select “reboot”) as soon as I had it all came back as normal and has stayed as such. Anyone else had this?

Hi Richard, we get this message almost every time we enter the car? We have had the car for around 2 months and still can't find an answer to stop it completely. Our infotainment screen goes black and we can't use it at all sometimes the cameras still come on when turning or reversing but they will use freeze after the 2nd or 3rd time. We have to hold the star button on the steering wheel for around 15/17 seconds then out our foot on the break for both screens to start back up

Have you tried what I put in my original post? That’s my only thought really, a proper system reboot. Let me know how you get on
