This happened Tuesday 21 July. On startup a message appears on the instrument panel "start vehicle and shift gears" but the R gear and the D gear do not select. Remains in P. Drivetrain does not engage in gear. Exited vehicle and lock, same thing happened. Repeat and waited 5 minutes. Then again for 10 minutes and problem still existed. When attempted 5 hours later, the vehicle engaged as normal with no message.
This seems a safety issue, can't engage drive or reverse from park. I booked it in for a diagnosis but will take 2 weeks to get it serviced. Just had the 1000 km service check 3 weeks ago. The alternative is to leave the vehicle with the service provider for up to 10 days. Not so great.
